The new BIRKENSTOCK CARE ESSENTIALS line is the latest innovation to complete the brand's 360° approach to foot health. Being introduced globally in October 2024, the year of the 250th anniversary in shoemaking tradition, the BIRKENSTOCK Care Essentials line is deeply rooted in the brand’s heritage of orthopedic expertise. Footcare has always been a key pillar of foot health, Carl Birkenstock described this approach already in the late 1940s, enhancing the well-being of the feet.

FOOT CARE.

The BIRKENSTOCK CARE ESSENTIALS portfolio comprises six carefully crafted foot care products to relax, exfoliate and care – which allows for the perfect skincare routine for your feet.

BIRKENSTOCK developed two signature massages in collaboration with an expert reflexologist therapist to treat your feet and unfold the products’ functions and experience its full sensorial effect. Both signature massages are footed on traditional massage and foot reflexology, offering an in-depth relaxation experience spanning between 25 and 15 minutes.

RELAX. The Relaxing Bath Salts allow for a soothing bath experience for the body, mind and skin. The natural Sea Salts present in the formula are known to support the regeneration of the skin and stimulate the metabolism while the essential oils calm and revitalize. This step of the routine not only relaxes and releases tension but also calms, soothes and softens the skin in water - preparing it for the exfoliation phase.

EXFOLIATE. The smoothing pumice stone made from 100% recycled glass exfoliates your skin, removes dead cells and reduces calluses for soft and smooth feet and an immediate “new skin effect”. The Exfoliating Foot Scrub for use across the feet and lower legs puts together a virtuous combination of active ingredients, such as Pumice Stone, Peppermint Hydrolate and Rosemary Oil, complemented by the calming and revitalizing Cedarwood, Juniper and Thyme which soften the skin while freshening and revitalizing tired feet. The exfoliation gives back natural skin radiance and brings calm and balance to the mind – a step to perfectly prepare your skin for the next skincare routine step.

CARE. The Nourishing Foot Balm with Murumuru Butter, Pomegranate Enzyme and White Willow Bark Extract intensively nourishes the skin*, smoothes dry feet and helps to prevent and reduce roughness and calluses. It provides immediate improvement of the skin moisture after 1 hour **. Cedarwood and Sandalwood essential oils calm and comfort your mind while Blood Orange and Cypress notes give you a burst of energy.

The Relief Lotion for Tired Leg & Foot helps to relieve feelings of heaviness, tension and fatigue while hydrating the skin. * It moreover reduces the sensation of heat in your feet featuring active ingredients such as Menthol, Arnica Oil and Eucalyptus Oil, a perfect ally to soothe active legs & feet.

The Comforting Dry Oil for a long-lasting and intensive nourishment features active ingredients such as organic Jojoba, Calendula and Sesame Oils that bring suppleness and comfort to the skin. * Floral notes of Petitgrain and Palmarosa help to restore while Bergamot and Elemi uplift your mood. The oil can be applied on any dry areas of the body. This product is multi-functional as you can also add a few drops to the Nourishing Foot Balm for an enhanced nourishing effect for very dry feet or pour a few drops of oil into the warm water of your bath for an ultimate relaxation experience.

Following the main product principles the packaging was designed with the idea of simplicity in mind. Minimal, sustainable and highly functional: BIRKENSTOCK’s Care Essentials line tubes and glass bottles are made of 100% recycled aluminium and 100% recyclable glass, made in Germany. The folding boxes are FSC-certified and all packaging material is sourced in Germany.
