“As Head of Sales Planning & Allocation Europe I am responsible for the creation and implementation of new processes which support our management and sales team in Europe in making strategic business plans. It is my goal to create the right conditions for precise sales forecasts market analyses by using modern structures for key figures and planning scenarios. So my thoughts are always in the here and now – without losing sight of the future. 

Before I joined BIRKENSTOCK in 2021, I lived in Berlin and witnessed the hype surrounding BIRKENSTOCK first-hand. I often asked myself: how does a brand manage to combine tradition and heritage with innovation and become popular with all generations in our society in the process? At that time, I was more than impressed to say the least. Nowadays, I’m thankful to be given the opportunity to be a part of this dynamic and open-minded company.”

“As Sourcing Manager in our Global Sourcing & Purchasing department my responsibilities include the strategic sourcing with regard to contract manufacturing. This means I ensure that the company’s strategy as regards purchasing and price and contract negotiations is resolutely executed.

After two years in BIRKENSTOCK’s team in Asia, I was able to relocate to the Cologne office and refine my skills there. It feels good to see that my work is recognized and appreciated. Especially because here at BIRKENSTOCK I can do a job that I love.”

As an apprentice in office management, I have the opportunity to work in various departments at Birkenstock and thus gain a comprehensive insight into the diverse business areas. Whether in accounting, human resources or the controlling department – I was able to help out everywhere and gain valuable insights.

I particularly appreciate the open and supportive working atmosphere at Birkenstock. I always felt welcome and could rely on my colleagues. No matter what question I had, there was always someone there to help me.

Thanks to the varied tasks and the opportunity to take on responsibility, I was able to develop both personally and professionally. “In June 2020, I joined BIRKENSTOCK as Customer Service Agent and have now worked my way up to Team Lead Customer Service Europe in Cologne. Together with my colleagues from Spain, France, Denmark, Poland etc., I try to do everything in my power to help and support our business customers and to keep an eye on all internal processes so that the ordered goods arrive at the right place at the right time. I love my job because there are new challenges every single day.

We provide customer support to customers in many countries and I enjoy working in such an international environment. Already during my application process I noticed that BIRKENSTOCK offers a perfect mix of tradition and innovation and that there’s a diverse team made up of young people as well as more experienced colleagues. I also think it’s very fascinating that our products are popular across generations, regions and cultural groups.”

“As Head of Development Innovation, Professional & Orthopedics I manage our innovation projects, especially the BIRKENSTOCK footbeds. This is a great privilege, because the footbed has always been at the heart of BIRKENSTOCK’s product philosophy. Together with my team of 10, I ensure by way of functional product testing that everything we develop corresponds to our orthopedic and biomechanical values.

My team has direct access to our plants in Germany and Portugal, which allows us to put our hands-on mentality to the test and to always ensure the functionality and quality of our products, even with larger production volumes. I love developing new products, especially – as is the case here at BIRKENSTOCK – when these products completely revolve around functionality.”

In February 2018, I joined Birkenstock's digital team in Shanghai to help develop our online business for the Chinese market. I have always worked in e-commerce, particularly for other shoe brands. I chose to join Birkenstock because I love German culture and language, which I have been learning for many years. Over the past six years, we have achieved a double-digit annual growth rate driven by the expansion of online channels, product offerings, and the dedication of our team, which consistently responds quickly to market changes.

My job is exciting because we cater to a highly diverse customer base. I particularly appreciate the company’s structured organization. Our objectives are clearly defined, and there's a great atmosphere in our offices. Everyone is extremely professional. For me, working for Birkenstock is a life adventure that's never boring.

“My job here at BIRKENSTOCK is to coordinate the production of our samples and collaborations. Together with my team, I ensure that the final assembly runs smoothly and that the quality of the finished products meets your standards. My journey with BIRKENSTOCK started at the beginning of 2014. Before that, I worked in the hospitality industry for a long time. But at some point I wanted to try something completely different – and I’ve never regretted this step.

What I particularly love about my job is to see first-hand how a family business step by step develops into a global player. Something I also find fascinating is that BIRKENSTOCK is deeply rooted in orthopedics but at the same time collaborates with fashion icons like Dior, Valentino or Rick Owens.”
