HANDELSBLATT (D): Birkenstock launches sales offensive: 100 million for new plants

BIRKENSTOCK's growth course continues to pick up speed. In order to be able to produce the additional 10 million pairs of shoes for the increasingly important Asian market, the German shoe manufacturer is investing millions. On the one hand in the largest production site in Görlitz and on the other hand in an additional plant in Germany. 

The deputy editor-in-chief of the "Handelsblatt" Peter Brors about the announced million investments, the state of affairs in the search for a new production site and the reaction of IG Metall to the company's plans.
