I am head of Business Development at Birkenstock Digital in Munich. My team and I are responsible for ensuring that our customers around the world can buy our entire product range from our online shop. This involves our working closely with the digital teams in New York and Tokyo. In addition to this being highly enjoyable, we are able to learn a great deal from one another and therefore to help each other improve.










My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK: Our work is very agile and global, and we are continuously realizing exciting projects. No two days are the same. I also think the brand is great – it’s made for both young and old, and is worn everywhere, from Sydney and Hong Kong to Vancouver. I had my first Birkenstocks at the age of four.

My favorite model: It's the Madrid, because it comes in a variety of materials and colors, such as the conventional look in leather or the Shiny Snake design made of Birko-Flor. This gives me just the right shoe for every outfit.

I am a working student in the Event Marketing department. I assist my department with all the tasks that need to be seen to, from event planning to implementation, to make sure that everything runs smoothly and the events are a success. For the big events, I often handle specific areas, while in the case of smaller events, I am sometimes allowed to realize them essentially on my own after consultation. The highlight for me so far was our appearance at Paris Fashion Week. I was responsible for planning the logistics processes, coordinating the service providers, and managing the collection stocks in Paris. 

My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK:I was incorporated into the team’s activities fully right from the start. On my second day, I found myself working at a trade fair already and I was allowed to handle many things independently even during my mandatory internship for my study course. I get to go to a lot of places and have the opportunity to be involved in interesting events. 

My favorite model: The premium model Arizona Leathersole in anthracite. The footbed of this sandal is covered in leather, too, so the sandals look extra stylish, feel especially comfortable and also fit my favorite color.

I work in the Process and Data Management department at the production plant in Görlitz. I assist the production areas with their day-to-day work with SAP. For example, I make sure the master data is entered correctly and I correct mistakes that might happen when goods movements are logged. Our data analysis helps us improve the production workflows. Due to the company’s growth, the processes and the data are increasing, too. And those have not only to be combined correctly but also monitored precisely.










My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK:Our department hasn’t been around for all that long so the workflows aren’t too rigid yet. I see this as quite a challenge because it means I can play my part in implementing new processes and developing new solutions together with my team. This motivates me again and again and it allows me to gather a great deal of valuable experience.

My favorite model:The classic Arizona. This elegant sandal goes with any outfit and it comes in all sorts of different combinations, so there’s something suitable for every occasion. In summer, I especially like to wear the trendy metallic version. And in winter, my preference is the Arizona with a lambskin footbed together with a pair of our BIRKENSTOCK socks.

I am a BIRKENSTOCK store manager and I oversee the day-to-day activities at the store in Hamburg. My responsibilities include giving our customers in-depth advice so that they leave the store with the best possible fit and just the right shoe. I am also responsible for managing the employees and motivating them by means of staff appraisals, and for optimum staff scheduling. I am always here for the staff if they wish to talk about something and it’s very important to me that there’s a pleasant atmosphere within the team. Because that’s something our customers pick up on, too. I also see to it that the store looks appealing and that the products are perfectly presented in the selling space.










My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK: I like working at BIRKENSTOCK because I grew up with the brand and can very much relate to it. When selling our products, I’m always delighted when I’m able to convince others of the excellent comfort of our shoes.

My favorite model: Definitely the Arizona! There are some other models I like, too, of course, but the Arizona is definitely way out in front. It’s available in so many different colors that you can never have enough of them. My latest buy was the BIRKENSTOCK x Colette Arizona Polka Dots Blue – I absolutely love it!

I am a trainee industrial clerk at BIRKENSTOCK. My training gives me the opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes in a number of departments within the company and to then ultimately specialize in the area I enjoy the most. I am therefore getting to know pretty much all of the company’s processes, from materials purchasing and production planning to the marketing and export of our shoes.










My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK: It is a global enterprise. As I am personally interested in Japan, I am especially interested in the company’s developments in the Asian markets. Once I have completed my training, I would like to work internationally, contribute my language skills, and interact with customers and coworkers around the world.

My favorite model: Our classic model, the Arizona. I see it as a faithful friend throughout the year, whether you wear it barefoot in summer or together with our woolen socks in winter. I especially like the metallic designs.

I am responsible for the entire production division’s investment budget. It’s primarily a question of planning and realizing investments correctly so that the technical production infrastructure doesn’t become outdated. My knowledge of mechanical engineering means I can assess the benefits that innovations in the field of automation technology can offer the company. I am assisted with this by my team, which consists of engineers and technicians. Thanks to ongoing exchange with the technical service staff at our sites, I am also always in the know regarding our current equipment needs. This allows me to ideally pave the way for the necessary modernizations and make us competitive.










My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK: I like working for a medium-sized enterprise that produces brand name products which are very popular and in great demand all over the world. My international area of responsibility offers me a great deal of freedom and creative free rein. I also get a lot of satisfaction out of my constructive interactions with my team and my other colleagues.

My favorite model: It's the Arizona with an oiled leather upper. As the surface is untreated, each shoe develops its own characteristic look over time. I have been wearing this model for quite some time now, as it’s so comfy – and I am now totally trendy as a result, too.

With my business intelligence applications, I help the management to connect and evaluate information from the day-to-day business, to make decisions easier for them. To this end, I develop tailored reporting solutions in consultation with the various departments. The analysis of the data collected in this way allows company processes to be improved.

My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK:
Thanks to the company’s international growth, I can build up new IT systems and business processes from scratch. At the same time, our team advises the coworkers in the various departments. This represents a great opportunity for me to develop both personally and professionally.

My favorite model:
The Bartlett in brown suits me best. And you can wear a trendy and casual sneaker on all sorts of occasions.

As a Junior Product Manager in Legwear & Accessories, I ensure the continuous development of the collection in this product area. In addition to socks, the collection also includes, for example, scarves, caps and bags. After the decision regarding the new designs has been made, I see to it that our sales department is provided with the collection and sales patterns. In order to process the subsequent orders, I work closely with our procurement department and the sales force. 

My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK: The flat hierarchies ensure a pleasant work atmosphere. If there are questions, everyone is always helpful. Being part of the creation of a collection right from the start is not only enormously interesting, but also a lot of fun! 

My favorite model: at the moment are all of the “Fashion Fade” products in the current autumn/winter collection in the Legwear & Accessories department. In addition to knee-high socks, this also includes ankle warmers, caps and scarves.

I am a Web analyst and search engine advertising manager at Birkenstock digital. Working in our Munich office, I analyze visits to the online shop pages in more than 20 countries. This allows me to determine how satisfied the customers are with our shop. I am also always looking for ways to improve it. What’s especially important here is the main way in which the customers end up on the website and the items or content that they are most interested in. There are different preferences here in each of the various countries, and we obviously try to reflect these as best we can in what we offer. As any changes we make affect user behavior almost in real time, precise coordination ahead of the changes with a large number of other divisions within the company is crucial.










My advantage at BIRKENSTOCK: I like working at BIRKENSTOCK because I can very much relate to what the brand stands for. Natural materials and a healthy lifestyle are things that matter to me. I also have nice colleagues who contribute the expertise they have gathered during their various career steps to our joint projects. And even with this wealth of experience, there is nonetheless a definite start-up spirit at work.

My favorite model: I already owned a pair of classic Arizonas when I joined BIRKENSTOCK. Since then, I’ve bought other models, too – in light brown natural leather, in blue Birko-Flor, and a very stylish bright orange pair made of EVA. And the best thing is that I can wear these shoes to work every day.
