St. Katharinen: School cooperation

New opportunities for apprentices: BIRKENSTOCK Productions RLP GmbH in St. Katharinen started a school partnership program with Martinus-Gymnasium in Linz. Within the framework of the program, students are given the opportunity to gain insights into the company, have a look behind the scenes, gain some work experience and learn more about apprenticeship opportunities at BIRKENSTOCK. This gives BIRKENSTOCK the opportunity to find young, new employees to join the company.

St. Katharinen: Fit for the future – BIRKENSTOCK starts a school partnership program with Martinus-Gymnasium in Linz

BIRKENSTOCK Productions GmbH in St. Katharinen is taking a new approach when it comes to recruiting new talents for the company and has started a school partnership program with Martinus-Gymnasium in Linz. This new initiative is launched in cooperation with the local representatives of the chamber of commerce and industry and of the union of business associations of Rhineland-Palatinate (LVU) in order to help students make future career choices on the one hand and to counteract the shortage of skilled workers on the other hand.

Managing director Marcus Börger is excited about the cooperation: “With this school partnership program, the school can align its work even better with the requirements of the job market and give its students guidance when it comes to making sustainable career choices. And the program gives BIRKENSTOCK the opportunity to find new apprentices and thus gain new employees in the long term.”

The school partnership program includes a presentation of the company at the school, internships at the company, tours of the company and job events such as career fairs, teacher internships and training as well as seminars for teachers, parents and students.
